{"id":1375,"date":"2021-10-10T19:16:33","date_gmt":"2021-10-10T15:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsacs.org\/?p=1375"},"modified":"2023-09-08T21:27:34","modified_gmt":"2023-09-08T17:27:34","slug":"registration-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsacs.org\/ru\/registration-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Registration for XLVII International RSACS &#8220;Overcoming: Cultivating Ideals through Overcoming Barriers in American culture&#8221; is open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The concept of Overcoming is suggested as a focus for interdisciplinary discussion of\u00a0both contemporary period of American culture &#8211; such as implications of COVID-19 and its aftermath, crisis of trust in social life and overcoming Trumpism in politics, &#8211;\u00a0 as well as\u00a0in history with the persistent\u00a0necessity to overcome various barriers in building and maintaining ideals &#8211; be it religious divides or the barriers spawned by immigration status, gender, race or class.<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Planned sections:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Journalism,<\/li>\n<li>American Culture of the 17-19th Centuries,<\/li>\n<li>Contemporary Literature and Culture, with a Round Table Discussion on American Drama<\/li>\n<li>Ethnic Aspects,<\/li>\n<li>Gender Studies,<\/li>\n<li>Fantastic in the Arts,<\/li>\n<li>Canadian perspectives,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A traditional Round Table discussion: Imprints \u2013 Image of America and Image of Russia will also be held and dedicated to the memory of Professor Yassen Zassoursky.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for applications is November 10. Letters of acceptance will be sent by November 15.<\/p>\n<p>Though\u00a0the conference was planned to be held on-site, at MSU Journalism Department,\u00a09 Mokhovaya ul., Moscow, Russia,\u00a0 still,\u00a0due to\u00a0anti-COVID-19 measures protraction, the conference will be held online during the same dates &#8211; December 1-4, 2021.
